Global Quality & Compliance Engineer Vacancy

Location:  NG12 / NG11 Nottingham based and will include global travel.
Payscale: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits
Position: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Global Quality & Compliance Engineer to join our successful team. The successful candidate will have excellent critical reasoning skills and experience in applying quality and statistical tools to improve manufacturing performance. You will support and implement business driven quality initiatives by identifying and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing process capability, capacity and product quality. This role will require overseas travel to implement and reinforce quality processes at the manufacturing location.

To be based in the UK & Northern China reporting to the Technical Manager in the UK you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring all inspection reports and relevant tests have been carried out and recorded before components and assemblies are dispatched from suppliers.
  • Working with the customer to ensure any issues are dealt with swiftly & efficiently.
  • Development of all the factory’s social & wellbeing responsibility “CSR”.
  • The support and development of the Manufacturing Team based in China.
  • Implementation and reinforcement of the company’s processes.
  • Development and adoption of the ATG ISO 9001 processes into the China based operation with the goal of achieving certification.
  • Working with the UK Quality Team to develop processes to better meet the needs of our clients and the internal processes.
  • Co-ordinating product risk and FMEAs.
  • Making sure technical documents are complete and that all requirements for each client are met or exceeded.
  • Customer engineering support globally.
Qualifications and Skills
HND or degree-educated (and preferably a Chartered Engineer)

Essential Experience:
  • You must have a background in Engineering and product development/manufacture.
  • Ideally, you will have some knowledge of off-highway vehicles.
  • Casting and Fabrication process knowledge is a key requirement.
  • You will be highly organised and a great partner to the business.
  • Enthusiastic and good with people, you can influence others and bring about change.
  • Ready to learn new skills and push for improvement in all areas.
  • An understanding of Chinese language is advantageous.
